I started using this book a few weeks ago in between my revision timetable and find it very easy to follow. I enjoy reading this book while i practice on maya i think it is great and i would recommend it to anyone who is wanting to start using maya.

Report abuse. Excellent resource for learning MAYA. MAYA is a complex software and I needed a good reference source, something on paper I could read at my own pace. This book is a great introduction to those who starting out in 3D modeling in Maya, it's an ideal introductory book for students. This Book is a Great entry level to approch Maya, well written and clear on all aspect to deal with, HOWEVER this book started falling apart within a week of using it, even with me properly conditioning the binding, really terrible the assembling of the pages and the book itself, next time i will purchase an digital edition cause this is really a mess with pages that fell away after a couple days.

The content is great, but the book's binding is really poor. Not worth to buy a paper copy if you are not a genius to keep all glued together. Non vale la pena comprare l'edizione cartacea a meno che non siate dei geni a tenere tutto incollato assieme.
